Julia Christine Hoffman

Julia was preceded by death by the love of her life David Nabert (2018) and her parents Kenneth Birch (2004) and Christine Birch (2005).

Dearest mother to Michelle (Larry), Wendy (Craig), and Yale (Janine). Beloved Grandmother to Jarod, Nathan, Brayden, Cameron and Jesse. Faithful sister to Helen Schutte (Willy) and Marion Birch.

Julia’s life was stolen from her way too soon by a disease that slowly chipped away pieces of the woman we all knew and loved. We are comforted by the thought that you are now at peace and reunited with David and your parents.

We will all miss your light, your spirit, your strength, your never-ending kindness and all the many other things that made you so special to so many people.

You have persevered through life, sacrificed yourself, to raise three strong, independent children. All done with a smile on your face, a giggle in your heart and unwavering devotion and joy. We are the embodiment of you. You gifted us with all your strength, all your knowledge, all your kindness and all your best qualities and taught each of us how to be good friends, lovers and parents. That gift is your greatest accomplishment and your legacy. We love you with all our being, and you will forever remain in our hearts. It is now our job to take the gift that you gave us and gift it to our children so your legacy lives on.

Our family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff in the Kingsdale Neighbourhood at AgeCare West Williams for the care and compassion you showed our mother from the minute she arrived until her last breath. There are not enough words to express how we feel. We are forever grateful and have a spot in our hearts now for all of you.

Celebration of life will be held at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 6 – 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated to the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington.
