I was so saddened to learn of Kate’s passing. I worked for many years with Kate, in the Childbirth department at Grand River Hospital. She was such a compassionate, hard working,  dedicated nurse, and had such a great sense of humour. I always enjoyed working with her. We had many laughs  in the middle of our night shifts together. She had an unforgettable laugh. She loved her Moms and babies that she cared for, and they loved her. She often spoke about her family and was dedicated to caring for her Mother. Thinking of her family and friends and sending condolences to them. Rest easy Kate....you will be missed.....Debbie 

I worked with Kate on obstetrics for many years. She was a wonderful nurse and collegue, and I have lots of great memories working with her. My condolences to her family, whom she spoke of often. We will miss you Kate.

I was always impressed with Kate’s  positive attitude and and spunk when we worked at GRH . Tales of her adventures in her Mustang with her mother and her babuska made me laugh on many occasions.
Following her retirement I would see  Kate periodically when in The Superstore. Kate always had a big smile and would take a moment for a quick visit while keeping the line moving in her efficient way. 
A great gal who will be missed by many.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Kate’s passing.  I met Kate when she started working at the Superstore.   She became a dear friend who shares the love of books with me.   I will miss her immensely.   A mutual friend describes Kate as an angel on earth with a beautiful soul.   I couldn’t describe her more perfectly.  Kate, I love you and will miss you.   Rest In Peace my friend.

Kate was a wonderful, caring nurse. She was a great colleague. A shining star. 

Thank you all for your kind memories of my dear sister, Kate.   We were separated by many miles but were always close in heart.  I will miss her sweet smile and our weekly telephone chats.  When we visited  Kitchener, she would cook us a delicious meal, including a spectacular dessert!  After dinner, she and I would sit at the kitchen table and play our favorite game — rummikube!  For hours!!  She definitely enjoyed her many years as a nurse, caring for new moms and their babies.  Kate also loved her job as a cashier at the grocery store, where she got to know customers by name.   She was really a people person!  I will truly miss her, but know I will see her again on Heaven’s shore.   Thank you for being a wonderful part of her life!  God bless you all!

I’m saddened to hear Kate is gone. She was a wonderful positive person who smiled readily and had the unique ability to see the humour in everyday life. She made me laugh often and it was a gift. Kate was also astute at recognizing the situations in life  that required a more serious response. She was a genuinely kind and compassionate person.  I worked with her  for many years at Grand River Hospital and carry fond memories of being her colleague on the Childbirth Unit. She was light hearted and fun and also cared very much about those in her care.

I worked with Kate at RCSS for awhile there is a memory I have of Kate we used to stand at the front of our tills I would wave peolpe and Kate would steal them from me it was our little joke between us  she was an angel on earth with a beautiful soul I am going to miss her Rip Kate love you loads

She was such a funny upbeat person who  I truly enjoyed   working with for many years and I know her patients enjoyed her also.  Such a loss to all who knew her. My condolences to to her family.

What a shock it was to hear of dear Kate's passing. She was a dear friend  and co-worker at Grand River Hospital for several years. Kate was always fun to work with and was very dedicated to her patients.  Her pleasant personality and fun sense of humor was always present. The stories us nurses could tell can only be interesting to other nurses, especially on night shift. I'll never forget the trip we took to PA. one time. We had such a great time, and lots of good memories. Kate was a kind, caring, loving, lady who loved her Lord, her family, and her work.

I was so fortunate to have worked with this lovely lady during my years of nursing at the KW and now called Grandriver Hospital Childbirth department. She was a very hard working, caring nurse, but as a co worker she was fun with a wicked sense of humor. There are to many stories to share here and maybe better left that way, as what  we nurses  see as humor others may not! Katie was very devoted to her dear mom, something many of us where greatly in awe of, She will be ever remembered as the girl who drove the  Mustang ! with a great  sense of humor and a laugh you'll never forget!! I send each of her family my deepest condolence in the loss of this remarkable young women! RIP Dear Katie!!

I used to sit on the right side of Kate at church and hadn't seen her lately.  I was sorry to hear of her illness and death. She was so sweet and dedicated and loved God and her family.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this difficult time.  Sharon

I was so saddened to read of Kate's death in the paper today.  I worked with Kate on  Obstetrics at Grand River Hospital.  She was a dedicated nurse, so helpful to new mothers and their newborn babies,  and fun to work with  on the team.  I send my condolences to you. My heart is saddened to hear of Kates passing. I met Kate at RCSS many years ago. She made my Friday morning shopping much more enjoyable.  She was very kind and caring always asking how my mother was. When my mother passed I received a beautiful card in the mail.  My Friday mornings will never be the same. Rest In Peace Kate I will miss you❤️

Oh Kate how I will miss our talk’s in the morning. Talking about the Young And The Useless. When you saw an updated picture of my daughter on Facebook you always said that she was lucky to have me as a mother. You always said to me I was your favourite supervisor and always was in a better mood and you were relived to see that it was me when I arrived for 7 am.

I worked with kate at Real Canadian Superstore.  During the days i worked  i would take over for kate as she was done her shift for the day. kate always had a smile on her face when  i arrived. She called me sweetheart, asked how i was, and commented  about  my makeup and how beautiful  i looked. Two years ago for halloween i decided  to do a look in celebration for the holiday, i remeber going up to her Till  to relieve her as usual and she turned around  and was frightened  at first 🤣 . But she was in such aweee She asked to take pictures. She told customers of the amazing halloween look i did that frightened her at first. I didnt know much about  her life  other  then i know she loved  nursing she was always talking  about it. She was a very sweet and loving woman. I am deeply saddened  by this loss at our work place, as i know her regular customers  loved her just  as much.

I always enjoyed talking with Kate.. both at church as well  as going through at Super Centre where she worked.
