Ken shared 24 years of marital bliss with Donna as he enjoyed their simple and happy life.
Ken will be lovingly remembered by his brothers and sisters Lou (Peg), Rick, Don, Trish, Marg and Sandy.
Ken was predeceased by his parents Margaret and Charles Sr. Yantz, sister Marie, brothers Charles Jr, Gary, Jerome, sisters-in-law Ruth Yantz and Judy Morin brothers-in-law Doug Furlong, Ron Miller and Dean Steffler.
Ken’s sense of humor kept smiles on the faces of his nieces and nephews. He was a character, so he didn’t miss an opportunity for horseplay, and shenanigans with the youngsters. He loved his role as Santa Claus with the little ones and they loved him more.
Ken was an avid fan of the Kitchener Rangers. He never missed a game and now Ken will be cheering from heaven. A few of Ken’s past times were playing solo and euchre, horseshoes, and stepping out to dances with Donna. As a young fella he was a fearless goalie. Our grandparents played a key role in our family fun, and Ken really looked forward to the weekends of card games and good old family gatherings at their home. Ken worked hard in the positions he held at Reitzel Bros, ACL Steel and the Knights of Columbus.
Our family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the health care services that supported Ken throughout recent years.
Ken’s family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Thursday, October 15, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
