Michaelis, Ludwig Joahim – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Ludwig on September 3, 2013 with his family at his side. Dear husband of Kathy (nee Fabijanov). Cherished father of Danny (Colleen) Michaelis and Renata Rye. Loving Opa of Luke, Mark , Maggie and Max Michaelis and Lindsay and Alycia Rye. Ludwig will be forever remembered by Eva and John Reiter, many nieces, nephews and close friends. The family will receive friends at Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa Street South, Kitchener on Thursday September 5, 2013 from 5pm to 8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 10am at St Mark’s Catholic Church, 55 Driftwood Drive, Kitchener. Our family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to all of those who shared their love, support and kindness during this difficult time with a special thanks to be extended to the wonderful staff on Three Bridges at Sunnyside Home for taking such good care of Opa/Trouble. In lieu of flowers, donations made in Ludwig’s memory can be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation and would be appreciated by the family.
