She shared 55 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, James. She was a loving mother to Maureen (Edward) Kao, Trish (Andrew) MacKenzie, Kevin (Wendy), and Tyrone (d. Maria), and a proud grandmother to Meghan and Caitlin Kao; Charlotte and Millie MacKenzie; Ava Lynch; and Owen, Sarah, and Marina Lynch. Maryan cherished her family deeply and took great pride in her grandchildren.
She was a dear sister to Linda Sabastien and Jane Mason, and was predeceased by her parents, John and Marie Wittig, and her sister, Karen Wittig.
Maryan enjoyed knitting and found her greatest happiness in the love of her family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
To honour her wishes, cremation has taken place and private family services will be held.
