Michael Paul Morrissey

It is with great sadness that we share that Mike passed away suddenly from a brain aneurysm. Mike is survived by his wife, Cynthia, daughter, Nina, and sons, Connor and Cameron. He is also survived by his mother, Laura, and sister, Karen (Ron, Graham & Amelia).

Mike touched the lives of many people through his work, hobbies and children. He graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics in Applied Math and Computer Science. He had a long, diverse and successful career in the tech industry which took him to many places, experiencing many different cultures. He later retired to pursue a retirement sideline as head CEO of Morrissey Swim Taxi Service.

Mike enjoyed many sports over his lifetime including hockey, soccer and golf. He also shared his passion for sci-fi books, gaming and travel with his children. In the last few years, he was able to spend time in BC hiking and enjoying ocean life.

Mike lived his life with love, joy and infectious enthusiasm. His family and friends will carry his memory in their hearts.

Mike's family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 12 - 2 p.m., where a sharing of memories will take place at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated to a charity of your choice.
