Following her long battle with Breast Cancer, which she battled to the end with grace and strength, it is with profound sadness to share that Nicola “Nikki” Cleeves (Abbott) of Kitchener passed away on Friday, January 8 at the early age of 56 years.
In her final weeks, Nikki was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, of 34 years, Roy Cleeves; her two sons: Jagger and Skyler Cleeves; her brothers Christopher and Richard (Ritch) Abbott, as well as her parents, Karla and Bernard Abbott of Guelph, and her many friends and family, including dear friends and travel buddies, Pauline Delaney and Scott Harris.
Nikki was a ray of sunshine who brought glitter and positivity everywhere she went, and everyone who knew her will be forever changed by her bright light and zest for life. Nikki had a passion for travel and music and had a fun fashion sense that was reflective of who she was as a person. Nikki’s world revolved around her two sons and her husband as a committed mom, friend and wife. She also took pleasure in being around family and friends, and driving around in her Mustang Convertible. Nikki will be missed immensely, but never forgotten.
A Memorial Service will be streamed on Saturday, January 16th at 1:00pm.
