We  miss our dear friend Nigel dearly. Especially the times when the girls would beat us at Canasta so often. A great time was had by all when he was around.

I can’t believe it has been a year already I miss u every day , and think about  u everyday you were the best fath in law i could ever ask for  I love you  god bless  love Adrea  your daughter in law 

I worked with Nigel at Canada Post and I'm so grateful I got to know that wonderful man.  He was always cheery and had such a positive outlook on life.  I remember saying "I wish it was Friday!" and he replied "Oh Kathy, don't wish your life away - time goes too fast as it is".  I will miss our phone chats that we had over the years - he always had such a good memory for people we used to work with and it was so fun to catch up.  Despite what he was going through with cancer, he was positive and upbeat and could always make me laugh.  I will miss that dear man....

Nigel we will always remember your wonderful sense of humour and the many good times we shared playing Canasta, camping and visiting you and Sharyn in North Kentville and Kitchener. We enjoyed the little footnotes you put on the bottom of the Canasta score sheet. You and Sharyn were always warm and welcoming. With heavy hearts we will miss you deeply dear friend Nigel. 

We became connected to Nigel and Sharyn through the marriage of his  daughter Karen and our son Jason and of course our two cherished grandchildren Owen and Emlly. 
Nigel always impressed us with his sincere interest and concern for other people. Despite his own deteriorating condition, he called just two weeks before his passing when he heard Yolande had suffered a stroke. He showed great concern but was reluctant to talk about himself. This in itself speaks volumes about the kind of man he was.
We will miss him especially at family gatherings where he was "in his element" being his affable and likeable self. It is a sad loss for all who knew him.

I met Nigel at Canada Post in the mid 80’s. Although we only worked in the same area for a couple of years, we became friends.  I have many dear memories of our times together, which included lots of good meals (we shared a love for Indian food, and he and my husband Terry could eat the spiciest item on the menu), and of our two wonderful visits to Nova Scotia, where we enjoyed Nigel and Sharyn’s generous hospitality.  More recently I had many good, long telephone conversations with Nigel, and he was, as always, unfailingly positive, engaged, and compassionate. 
Nigel’s good nature, his outgoing personality, his big smile, his wicked sense of humour, and his kindness meant that he easily made and kept friends.   I consider myself very fortunate to number among his many friends, and I will truly miss that lovely, gentle man.
My most sincere condolences to Sharyn, David, Karen, Darryl, Gregory and DeAnne, as well as to all of his grandchildren.


It was our pleasure to have known you Nigel Brown., you were a true gentleman .  Great camping memories and many discussions  regarding the future of the Toronto Maple Leafs.  Go Leafs Go, we’ll win the cup next year Nigel,.  RIP my friend, John Boy and Carolyn

Anne and I met Nigel and Mary shortly after we came to Canada in May 1968 and we became the best of friends. We spent countless happy hours in Toronto, Newmarket and Florida over many years. The warmest memories will last forever. Sincere condolences to all the family. Nigel will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. You left us far too soon, dear friend. R.I.P.

Nigel you stepped in as a father figure when my original father passed on. We enjoyed lots of laughs love passion and you stood there as me and my wife andrea shared our vows you will be sorly missed for all of our sports talks and our get togethers i know you are shinning down on everyone in our families everyday.
