Norman Kind

KIND, Norman passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Marlene for 58 years. Loving father of Rosanne Klein (John) and Mark Kind (Patricia Barlow). Much loved Opa of Tonya Szeryk (Mike), Kelly Willig (Steve), Courtney, Benjamin (Amber), Amanda and Spencer Kind; cherished "Opa Norman" to Austin and Sofia Szeryk and Andrew, Anna and Ava Willig. Norman was a very quiet man with a passion for stamp collecting and driving. After immigrating to Canada in the 1950's, he found work as a mechanic and later went on to be known as one of "Kitchener's Best", driving bus for Kitchener Transit for nearly 30 years. Norman's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 6-9 p.m. at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. followed by inurnment at Woodland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated. Special thanks to Dr. Keleher and the CCAC nurses for all their compassionate care and support over the last few years.
