Patricia Anne Catherine Pearl

Patricia Pearl (nee Lundy) was born in Hamilton, Ontario, and lived in Kitchener for the last 34 years. Pat passed away unexpectedly on August 14, 2026, at the age of 74. She left for her final journey surrounded by the love of her family and in the arms of her devoted daughter.

Pat was the youngest child of the late Eric and Wynne Lundy. She was predeceased by her sister, Karen, and her brothers, Rick (Gail) and Jerry (Carole).

Pat was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, and the person so many people counted on. She shared 36 years of companionship with her husband, Alan Pearl. Pat was the loving mother of Melissa Wells-Cave (Jason) and a doting grandmother to their children, Brayden, Ryan, and Sarah. She was also the loving mother of Bradley Wells (Ashley), and adoring grandmother to their children, Noah and Owen. Pat was the step-mother of Stacey Nyburg (Theo) and Rachel Visser (Paul), as well as step-grandmother to their children, Joe, Alyssa, Ben, and Laura.

Pat and Alan enjoyed spending time with his brother from Wales, David Pearl (Amber). Pat had a close friendship with her former husband, Rick Wells, by whom she will be deeply missed. She will also be lovingly remembered by extended family and the many friends whose lives she touched.

Of all the roles she cherished, being a Gramma brought her the greatest joy. Pat adored her grandchildren—Brayden, Ryan, Sarah, Noah and Owen—and treasured every opportunity to spend time with them. She loved watching them grow, sharing in their lives, and simply being together. She found their antics hilarious, even when they were inappropriate, and taught them not to take oneself too seriously. Pat’s grandchildren knew they were endlessly and unconditionally loved, and they will carry their Gramma’s love with them always.

Pat was an avid traveller who collected memories, treasures, and friends wherever she went. She was patient, generous, kind, and always willing to help. She loved people and was loved fiercely in return. Pat enjoyed knitting, reading, playing cards, and spending time with friends and family. She adored her cats, good food, and staying up late - especially if sleeping in the next morning was an option. Pat embraced trying new things and believed that life didn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful.

Pat had so much more life to live, more places to see, more things to try, more cards to play, and more time to spend with the people she loved. Alas, there was no choice but to let her go. Pat leaves behind a lifetime of love, laughter, memories—and more than a few baking recipes that will be very hard to replicate.

She was deeply loved. She will be deeply missed. And she will never be forgotten.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the skilled and compassionate staff of the intensive care unit at St. Mary’s Hospital. They provided excellent care and incredible support over the last five days of Pat’s life.

Please join us in sending Pat off on her last big adventure. Visitation is planned for Tuesday August 25th, from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre in Kitchener. Funeral service and reception will be held at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, on Wednesday, August 26th, at 11:00 am, followed by burial at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Ancaster.

In lieu of flowers, we know that Pat would have appreciated donations to one of her favourite charities. These were the Humane Society of Kitchener, Diabetes Canada, and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
