Forever in my heart, Uncle Sonny. Your love, kindness, and the way you embraced me as a true niece will never be forgotten.

I first met Peter and his wife Christine in The Scottish Mechanic Lodge where my husband Henry was a member. 
Later on, Peter and I developed a strong bond  when I attended Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Kitchener   to seek the guidance and counsel of an ordained priest, so that I could satisfy the  requirements to be admitted as a candidate for the priesthood. With our connections to both Church, Lodge, and later to The University of Waterloo, Peter and I became good friends.    
Peter was always an honest, forthright, helpful, and caring presence. And because I knew he was forthright and honest, when I needed advice, I called on him because he would tell me the truth. Over the years,    I discovered that Peter’s declaration of faith was not mere words; it was present and very evident in everything he did and in every word he spoke. He was “A Man of Principle.” 
Peter was outspoken. And that was exactly what I needed as   I prepared to study for the priesthood because I knew he would be honest with me. I also knew he was kind, thoughtful, empathetic and had my best interest at heart.
Peter always advocated for  doing what was right. We understood each other! His favourite words were: “I want the facts.”  In all he did, Peter was focused on getting to  “the heart of the matter.” He sought the truth! I thank Peter for showing us all what it means to live a life of purpose, integrity, and faith. 
Peter has left an indelible mark on all our hearts because he showed us how   to be honest, frank, and forthright while being kind, loving, thoughtful, and faithful. Even when he was mourning the death of his Dear Wife Christine his faith in God’s love and divine providence remained strong. 
To me, Peter was a true friend with a kind heart – a honest and hardworking man who believed in treating all people with respect. And I pray that Peter’s legacy of truth, love wiil live on. 
Rest in peace to rise in glory Dear Friend.

Uncle Sonny was a gentle man whose love was always evident through his kind and giving personality. He was full of cheer and his ready smile accompanied his advice, and his jokes. He kept abreast of current events and shared  his thoughtful insights. During our telephone conversations,  he never failed to mention his deep and abiding faith in God. 

I extend deepest sympathy to Ken and his family as well as Uncle Sonny’s  surviving siblings on his passing.

I will miss you, Uncle Sonny. May your soul rest in eternal peace.

My deepest condolences go out to all of Peter's family - his son Kenneth, all of his children and grandchildren, all of his siblings, cousins and all extended family. May your happy memories with Peter bring you peace and comfort in your grief. 
I will always cherish the memories I shared with my cousin,Peter, growing up in Montserrat and my visits to his home in Kitchener with him and his dear deceased wife Ida ( Christine). My wish is that Peter's love and devotion to family lives on in all of you.
