Passed away at Hospice Waterloo, October 7th 2026 with her great-nephews Michael and Jamie by her bedside. Ruth had been a resident of Briarfield Gardens for the past three years where she was very content and well cared for.
Ruth worked at Arrow Shirts for 35 years. She was an active member at St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church where she loved to make items for the church bazaar.
Ruth was a very kind, well liked, quiet individual who always had time for her family. Our aunt Ruth had a big heart and loved and considered her nieces and nephews like her children.
One of eleven children, Ruth has now gone to join her mother, father, sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews who passed before her. She is survived by her younger brother Calvin Golbeck. She will be missed by many. Our loss is Heaven's gain.
Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, October 13th at 11:00 am at St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 317 Franklin St. North, Kitchener followed by a coffee and dessert reception.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Waterloo or to St. Luke’s Church.
