Sonia Rosalie Miller

Sonia R. Miller passed away peacefully on April 8, 2023, after suffering a heart attack and stroke 8 years ago surrounded by her beloved family at Chartwell Westmount Retirement. She was born on May 5, 1957 in Kingston, Jamaica to the late Sydney and Francella Saunders. Beloved wife of Osbourne Miller. Loving mother of four amazing sons, Hugh Brown “who preceded her in 2017”, Christopher Brown, Raphael Brown and Orville Brown.

Sonia was a gentle, kind soul. Her greatest commitment was to God and then her family. She dedicated her entire life to serving the Lord and caring for her family and others. Thank you to the medical team who cared for her in recent years.

Sonia is survived by her sisters Marva Saunders, Suzanne Saunders, and Christine Saunders; her brother Steve Saunders; her sons Christopher Brown, Raphael Brown and Orville Brown; her daughters-in-law Janice Brown, April Brown; her grandchildren Hugh J. Brown, Trekisa Brown, Natalia Brown, Christopher Brown Jr., Desean Brown, Olyvia Brown, Isaac Brown, Kaiden J. Brown, Chinirah Brown, Allisa Brown and Zinnya Brown; Great grand-children Autumn Dennis, Kimari Williams and Zane Messiah Brown; Nephews and Nieces Rohan Brown, Sean Brown, Suzette Saunders, Conrad Saunders, Meisha Saunders, Keshia Saunders, Andrew R. Barett, Jamair Isaac, Chavez Griffiths, Antwine Maxwell and Winsome L. Jello and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900) on Sunday, April 23 from 6:00 -9:00 pm and Monday April 24 from 9:00 am -12:00 pm with a funeral service at 12:00 pm.
