Thomas Maloney

Passed away peacefully on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Freeport Hospital with his children by his side, after a brief battle with cancer. Born November 2, 1939 in Timmins, Ontario. Beloved husband to his late wife Ginger. Loving father of Mark, Mike (Dawn), Deb, and Darcy (Tracy). Grandfather of Tyler, Jay, Jack, and Joshua. Great Grandfather of Selena.

Also survived by his sister Kareen (James) McMillan, and his three loving nieces Kathy, Beth and Leslie.

Tom worked for Bell Canada for over 30 years, but during that time he took an 18 month leave of absence to help start up Super Skate Seven, where he made many friends. Tom also volunteered countless hours with the Venture's and Dutch Boy Drum and Bugle Corps, giving him more time with his children.

Tom was a 30 year friend of Bill W.

Tom's family would like to express gratitude to Joan McCarthy and her wonderful team at CCAC, Laura T. , as well as the caring staff at Freeport UT-3 West.

Friends are invited to visit Wednesday May 16th from 10:00-11:30am at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa Street South.Kitchener, N2E 2X5. Private interment to follow.
