Vannitha Chanthavong passed away on December 19, 2025, at the age of 48. She was born on February 19, 1977, in the Lao People's Democratic Republic and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1984. Vannitha’s hometown was Kitchener, Ontario and she resided in Bowmanville, Ontario.
Vannitha was a devoted daughter, loving mother, sister, auntie, and friend. She is survived by her beloved son, Nicholas; her mother, Bouasavanh; her brothers, Say and Tony; her sister-in-law, Christa; and her four adoring nieces and nephews—Ryerson, Newton, Ellyse, and Evie.
A small funeral service for close family and friends will be held at Parkview Cemetery & Crematorium, located at 335 University Ave, Waterloo, Ontario, N2J 4A8, Canada. The service is scheduled for December 23, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Cremation to follow.
