Passed away peacefully on February 22, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital with her family by her side at the age of 90. Predeceased by her beloved husband Gordon Brunt and her parents Lawrence and Matilda Wright. Lovingly remembered by her children Lynda (Larry) Selway and Sandra (Timothy) Halk; Adoring Grandmother to Laurie Selway, Steven (Morgan) Selway, Jennifer (Jason) Kay and Melissa (Brian) Reitzel; Great Nan to Michelle, Stephanie, Emma and Mackenzie. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Verna was a long time member of the Forest Hill United Church. Verna’s family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks to the caring staff at the Village of Winston Park and St. Mary’s Hospital fifth floor staff, especially Jessica, and to all of Verna’s friends who loved and cared for her. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2012 at 12:00pm at Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa St. S, Kitchener. A reception will follow.
