Predeceased by her father Boyd (2015), her mother Rowena (2016), and her brother Bruce (1995). She leaves behind her brother Jeffrey and sister-in-law Irene Brenner in Kitchener, her step-son Randy (LeeAnne) and 2 grandsons. She will be missed by many dear friends who were her extended family throughout her life.
Wendy was born and raised in Abbotsford, Quebec. Wendy’s 37-year career with the Royal Bank began as a teller in Montreal in 1973. In 1986 she moved to Kitchener where she was a Customer Service Representative for four years in Waterloo. From there, she moved on to become a Discount Clerk with the Kitchener Business Banking Centre in the Kitchener Main Branch. In 1998 she became a Resolutions Officer with RBC’s Toronto Business Service Centre until her retirement in 2012.
Analytical, creative and confident, Wendy passed the Canadian Securities Course on her first attempt, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Wilfred Laurier University in 1989.
Always the Crazy Cat Lady, she leaves her seven feline children to John.
A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2019 from 3 - 6 p.m. at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900).
