Alfred Leon Knight

Knight, Alfred Leon “Pete”, age 64, born February 8, 1948, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at home in Corryton, TN. He was a Baptist. Pete was a graduate of South High School class of 1966, and Knoxville Business College. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam War. He retired from the City of Knoxville with 20 years of service and was the Public Service Manager of Area 3. He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Knight.

Survived by his mother, Juanita H. Knight; sons, Alfred Knight, Jr. of NC, Bobby Knight and wife Marie of GA; daughter, Teresa Williams and husband Gary of GA; grandchildren, Anna, Sylvia, Matt and Skyler; sisters, Neva King-Edens and husband Ernest, Carolyn Knight-Poynter; brother, Ott Knight; several nieces, nephews and special friends, Rosa Lee Edmonds and Donnie Thomas.

Family and friends will meet at Bookwalter Cemetery on Friday at 2 pm for a graveside service with Rev. Oliver Wolfenbarger officiating. Pallbearers will be sons, nephews, and friends. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 – 8 pm at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel. Arrangements by Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 2300 W.
