Beverly Jean Bales, age 94, of Powell, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Beverly was married for 67 years to the love of her life, Charles Everett Bales. She was a Registered Nurse, Director of Nursing, and taught Pediatrics at the University of Tennessee. Beverly loved playing golf, the outdoors, and spending time with her family.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bales; parents, Ollie and John Ray; siblings, Hyrum Ray, Marjorie Haun, Madelynne McCurry. She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews, Steve (Kim) McCurry, Dennis (Linda) McCurry, Roger (Sarah) Haun, Suzanne (Tommy) Caswell, and Patty (Pete) Yost; along with several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Beverly will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Lynnhurst Cemetery, 2300 Adair Dr, Knoxville, TN 37918, meeting at the graveside at 10:45 AM. Rev. Roger Haun will be officiating the service.
