Carolyn Craig Adams

Carolyn Virginia Craig Adams, 81, passed away in Lewisville, Texas on October 31, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, George "Pete" and Gladys Alley Craig; her husband, Don Adams; infant daughters Sarah & Suzanne Adams; and Margaret Craig Baker, her beloved aunt. Survivors include her son, Craig Adams and his wife Leslie of Houston, Texas; her daughter, Margaret Adams Doss and her husband Joe of Flower Mound, Texas; grandchildren Elaine Adams, Katherine Doss and Elizabeth Doss; brothers Tom Craig of Houston, Texas and George "Babe" Craig and his wife Joy of Edmond, Oklahoma; and sister-in-law Patricia Watson Craig of Knoxville.

Carolyn grew up in north Knoxville and was a proud member of the Fulton High School Class of 1953. She was active in local politics and loved few things more than a good debate or a good laugh. Although she fought dementia in her last years, she never lost her sense of humor and always had a ready smile for us all. The family would like to express their deepest thanks to those who cared for her so well, especially her long-time nurse, Angela Underwood, who became like family to us.

Please join her family as we celebrate her life with a memorial service at Lincoln Park United Methodist Church, 3120 Pershing St., at 2:30 pm on Monday, November 21, officiated by Rev. Monty Walton. Interment will be private at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the charity of your choice.
