Brown, Carolyn Ruth Mitchell, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012. She met her Heavenly Father and her parents, James Blaine and Dove Troxler Mitchell. What a wonderful homecoming. Carolyn was born in Loyston, TN, where she and her parents had to move from so Norris Dam could be built in 1936 so they moved to Karns. When Carolyn was a little girl, she was in a Shirley Temple lookalike contest. She attended UT and became an Interior Decorator and also a Flight Attendant for Delta Airlines for many years. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, T. G. Brown. She was a member of Lord’s Chapel.
Survived by cousins, Glen Loy, Van Johnson, June Whitaker, Joan Maysey, Pearl Snodderly, Elizabeth Mitchell Longmire, Mildred Hill, Clara Lou Campbell, Lelia James, and Kyle Stooksbury. Many thanks to her caretaker, Stephanie Lenoir.
There will be a graveside service Friday, October 26 at 10 am at Lynnhurst Cemetery with Rev. Ken Hall officiating.
