Christine Ferguson Hunter

Christine Ferguson Hunter went to meet Jesus on April 23, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on August 3, 1947, in Glasgow, Scotland, Christine lived in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was an active member of Valley View Baptist Church.

Known as Grandma by her five granddaughters, Chris loved spending time with her family above all else. There wasn’t a holiday, birthday, celebration, sporting event, or performance that she missed. She had a zest for life and a spirit of adventure- even skydiving and learning to swim and scuba dive in her 70s! She never lost a game of Rummy. Chris crocheted hundreds of blankets for children in foster care and ran a successful tax business for over 30 years. Her strong Christian faith brought her joy and peace and she served with We Belize In Him for a number of years. Along with her family, she will be greatly missed by her many friends, neighbors, church family, and community members.

Chris was preceded in death by parents, David and Margaret Ferguson; brother, David Ferguson; fur baby, Teddy. She is survived by children, Michelle (Dwayne) Morgan and David (Jenniffer) Hunter; grandchildren, Erin (Preston) Morgan- Waldrop, Beth (fiancé-Nic Scheele) Morgan, Emily (fiancé- Cade Leonard) Morgan, Lauren (Trenton) Henderson, Ashlyn Hunter; great grandson, Blaine Henderson; sisters, Margaret "Peggy" Wilson and Anne (Ed) Wilder; several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Sunday, May 3rd from 1:30-3pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home with Celebration of Life Service following at 3pm. Attire will be beach- inspired to honor her love of scuba diving and Roatan. Pastor Jared Shumate officiating.
