Clyde Elliott Brown

A proud graduate of Austin-East High School, Class of 1969, the first historic graduating class. Clyde spent much of his career working as a hospitality and restaurant professional.

Known for his generous spirit, Clyde selflessly helped raise two generations of nieces and nephews and was a devoted caretaker to many in his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mattie Lou Brown and Ernest Fulton; brothers Leroy Brown, Broderick Fulton, and Gentry Fulton; sister Claudia Love; and nephew Marcus L. Brown.

He is survived by his brother, Ernest Brown Jr.; sister, Carolyn Fraley (Charlie); a host of nieces and nephews; devoted great-nephew LaMarcus Brown; his cherished pet, Luna and many devoted friends.

Clyde will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Visitation will be held at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 West Adair Drive, Knoxville, TN 37918, on March 12, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with the Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 pm. Gerald Littlejohn officiating. A Graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm, processing to Lynnhurst Cemetery immediately after the funeral service.
