Denton Lloyd, age 80, of Knoxville went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, June 27, 2017. Born in Scott County, TN, and raised in Oneida, Denton served in the U.S. Army, worked in the trucking industry, and owned and operated two hardware stores in Knoxville with his brother. He worked at Home Depot since his retirement. Denton was a faithful member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church for 48 years. Preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Vicky Newport Lloyd; father and mother, Mac and Arizona Loyd; and brothers, Houston, Clayton, and Clifton. Survived by children, Cindi Adams (John), Marcelete Ailor (Greg), and Brian Lloyd (Rachel); 14 grandchildren; and sister, Glenna Allen. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 29th from 5-7pm at Black Oak Heights Baptist Church, 405 Black Oak Dr., Knoxville, TN 37912 with service to follow. Dr. Jack Parrott will officiate.
