Blaylock, Donna Jean Steele, age 61, of Knoxville, went home to be with our Lord at her residence on April 29, 2013 after a courageous battle of lung and brain cancer. She worked as a Budget Analyst for the State of Ohio for 30 years and retired from there at an early age of 47. She and her two daughters moved to Tennessee 11 years ago. She loved her family dearly and loved working in the yard with her flowers and playing games on her computer. We loved her laughter and funny faces she would make. Preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Mary Steele; sisters, Shirley Cruz and Carol Fletchalls; brother, Billy Stephenson.
Survived by her loving and caring husband, Cliff Blaylock; daughters, Brittany (Ross) Clark and Ashley Hall; grandchildren, Ryan Hall and Zayne Clark; sisters, Janet (Rev. Randy) Kuhn of Columbus, OH and Paula (Carl) Rickels of Powell, TN; many nieces, nephews and good friends. The family wants to thank the wonderful Doctors, Nurses and staff at the “Thompson Cancer Survival Center” and the “Covenant Hospice” for the loving care and support they gave to her.
The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 pm Friday with a memorial service to follow at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Rev. Randall Lee Kuhn officiating. Arrangements by Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Dr. Condolences may be offered at www.lynnhurstchapel.com
