SHELL, JACKIE GERALDINE SUTTON – age 82, of Knoxville, passed away January 18, 2014. Jackie was a kind, loving, devoted servant of the Lord. She was a longtime, faithful member of Temple Baptist Church of Powell and grateful for those who cared for her through Sunshine Ministry. Humble, honest and hardworking all her life, Jackie Shell was very small in stature but very great in spirit and a friend to all who knew her. Steadfast in her habits, Jackie could be found on Saturday mornings watching her “cowboy shows,” and on Sundays and Wednesdays listening to church services. Preceded in death by husband, Frank Shell; son Alan Shell; sister and best friend, Bobby Bland. Survived by niece, Helen Byers; great niece, Norma (Chuck) Rogers; and friends who loved her until the end, Gwen and Larry Workman; Lea Ann Patrizio; and Lori and Tom McKelvy.
Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Lynnhurst Cemetery with Dr. Clarence Sexton and Rev. Bob Dustman officiating. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to Sunshine Ministry of Temple Baptist Church, 1700 W Beaver Creek Dr, Powell, TN 37849.
