Joyce L. Moyers

Joyce L. Moyers, age 86, of Powell, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 17, 2023. She was a longtime member of City View Baptist Church. Joyce was an LPN at Baptist Hospital for many years. She loved all her fur babies, especially Marley, they were all her babies. Joyce was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister and friend. She was also a die-hard TN Vols fan.

Joyce was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Argus Moyers; parents, James and Mindie Riggs; 9 siblings; infant children, Stephen, Larry and Barry; son, James "Skip" Moyers; grandchildren, Andy Moyers and Mark Moyers, Jr. She is survived by children, Pam (Bill) Price and Mark (Pam) Moyers; grandchildren, Matthew (Shannon) Moyers, Jennifer Johnson, Felicia (Lance) Sexton, Candice Justus, Jonathan Compton, Joshua (Jessica) Moyers, Jeremy Moyers, Stephen (Jhuvhel) Feinberg, Jonathan Merriman, Melissa Carroll, Lynnsey (Richard) Metcalf and Amy Hill; great grandchildren, Bubba Moyers, Rebecca and Sistina Johnson, Moira and Andrea Sexton, Joshua and Caitlin Justus, Kane and Alexis Feinberg, Leif McElreath, Ryan Willoughby, Victoria and Isabella Carroll and Keyson Metcalf; 7 great-great grandchildren; brother, Charlie Riggs; several nieces and nephews; special cousins, Danny and Barbara Kirkendall.

The family would like to thank the staff at Oakwood Senior Living for their kindness and care.

Family will receive friends Friday, April 21st, from 5-7pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home with funeral service following at 7pm. Rev. Luckey Steele officiating. Private graveside service to take place at Lynnhurst Cemetery.
