Mary E. Davies

Davies, Mary E., age 89, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on June 6, 2013. As a young lady, Mary accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized at Piedmont Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband of 62 years, Thomas Davies; parents, Virgil and Lillie Gaylor: and brother, Kenneth Gaylor.

Left to cherish her memory, son, Danny and wife Brenda Gaylor; grandson, Darren and wife, Jennifer Gaylor; great-grandchildren, Megan and Josh Gaylor; sister-in-law, Patsy Duke and husband, Mike; nephew, Greg Gaylor and wife Melissa; niece, Kelly Hanlon and husband Randy; several great-nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Sherry Risden and Robin Stooksbury for their loving and compassionate care, also for the love and care shown by the nursing staff and Dr. Lyons at Fresenius Dialysis Center in Powell, along with the staff in ICU and 3rd Central at Physicians Regional Medical Center.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm Saturday with the funeral service to follow in the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Dr. Damon Patterson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 3 pm Sunday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for the interment.
