Ralph Lee Corum, age 95, of Knoxville,Tennessee passed away on Monday morning, May 6, 2024, at his home. He was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and a retired employee of Tucker Steel, and Beverly Steel with 45 years of service. Born June 30, 1928, the son of the late Houk and Dora Chesney Coram; also preceded in death by bothers, Carl, Edgar, Sanders, and Arte Coram; sisters, Virginia Cate and Alice McCoy.
Survivors: wife, Faye Smith Corum; daughter, Sheila Daulton; son-in-law, Dan Daulton, son, Tim Corum and daughter-in-law, Gretchen; Grandchildren; Bradley Jones and wife Taylor, Kelsie Sherrod and husband, Luke, and Stefanie Corum; Great Grandchild, Samuel Sherrod. Several nieces and nephews, and cousins. The family would like to express a special thank you to U.T. Hospice for their loving care.
The family will receive friends 5 - 7 pm Thursday at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive. The graveside service will be 11 am Friday at Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Alan Price will officiate. Pallbearers: Tim Corum, Bradley Jones, Dan Daulton, and Chuck Glandon. In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated to Young Williams Animal Shelter.
