Rick Stemeye

Rick Stemeye passed away on March 28, 2026, at the age of 61; he was born July 8, 1964, and was a resident of Knoxville, Tennessee. Rick dedicated his life to loving, supporting, and being the rock to his loving wife, Tammy. Their life was full of happiness together, from Sunday morning biscuits and gravy to long talks holding hands on the couch. They watched shows together, and Rick loved poking fun at Tammy for watching all the sad shows. He had a passion for computers, gaming systems, guitars, and strumming a quick melody on his banjo, and he loved sharing those things with the people he loved. Rick was enthusiastic about connecting with his grandbabies and children.

Rick was preceded in death by parents, Lee Stemeye, Sr. and Virginia Rice Caston; grandparents, Clarence and Lois Rice and Charles and Fronia Stemeye; brother, Jerry Stemeye; sister, Gina Stemeye. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Tammy Stemeye; children, Melissa (Aaron) Bumgardner, Ashley Larrabee, Shirley (Chris Lane, fiance) Crenshaw; grandchildren, AJ and Caleb Bumgardner, Arizona Larrabee-Stitt; brother, Lee Stemeye, Jr.; sister-in-law, Karen Stemeye; special cousin, Tammy McCony; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 2nd from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a Funeral Service following at 12pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in Rick's memory to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org.
