Sarah Ellen Copeland, age 75 of Knoxville, passed away on January 5, 2017. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting. She proudly served her country in the United States Air Force and in the Tennessee Army National Guard as a registered nurse, being honorably discharged with the rank of Major. Sarah was a large supporter of the Tennessee Valley Humane Society. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Virginia Copeland and a cousin, George Frazer. Survivors include her son, David Copeland; brother, Jesse Copeland and a cousin, Cookie and her husband Mickey. Per her request, there are no public services scheduled.
