Tina Marie Whetsell-Mounger, On the morning of her favorite day of the year, December 25, 2015, Tina went home to be with her beloved Lord. She was 58 years young and was surrounded by her loving husband, two daughters, and niece. She was born on June 10, 1957 to Donald and Edna Whetsell. She was a substitute teacher at Halls High School for many years before becoming a real estate agent. Both allowed her to meet so many of the friends that eventually became her family. Her life achievements were many but above all else she was a devout woman of God and family.
Her mother, Edna Sue Whetsell and her father, Donald Alvin Whetsell, preceded Tina in death. She was survived by her devoted husband Steven Albin; daughters Nikita Mounger, Asya Mounger, and Stephanie Giovannucci; Granddaughter Aubree Kessler; brother Eddie Howard; Niece Braquel Whetsell; Nephews Lakin Whetsell and Trent Whetsell. Along with an abundance of friends who became her brothers and sisters, a list that could go on forever. A very special thanks to all the wonderful medical care professionals at UT Medical Center; all at the UT Cancer institute; and all the people who called, emailed, messaged, prayed, and loved Tina.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks to have donations made in Tina's name to UT Cancer Research and/or National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
