Eva Garza

Eva Garza passed peacefully and went to be with the lord on March 17, 2018 in Miami Florida at the tender age of 102. She lived a long, happy and christian life. All who knew her loved her and marveled at her kindness, beauty and faith.

Eva was born in Burgos, Mexico on November 8, 1915. As a young child she immigrated to the United States. She lived in Texas and moved to Miami in 1963. Eva married the love of her life Cipriano. Together they raised nine children. Eva is preceded in death by husband Cipriano, daughters Olga and Amelia and is survived by daughters Octaviana, Nely and sons Cipriano, Reynaldo, Roberto, Rene and Ramiro. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Eva served the lord and was a faithful member of the Iglesia Pentecostes El Mana in South Dade. She lived a life full of peace, love, and happiness. She loved to travel, the outdoors and gardening. She loved her family but above all she loved the lord. She left behind a legacy of faith. Her favorite song was “Que Lindo Es Mi Cristo”.

During her lifetime she witnessed the invention of modern TV, computers, cell phones, the microwave, electric can openers, the Helicopter, Clock radios, TV remote control, and the internet.

Eva strongly believed in the power of voting and proudly casted her last vote at 100 years old. She lived through the administration of 17 US presidents. An advocate of education and community engagement, Eva made sure that all her children got a good education and serve the community.

Services will be held Friday, March 23, 2018 at 6:00 pm at La Trinidad Assembly of God Church in Rio Hondo, TX. . (956) 748-2012 Funeral Service will start at 10:00 am at La Trinidad Assembly of God Church on Saturday 24, 2018 burial to follow. Funeral arrangements are being held by Heavenly Grace Funeral Home in La Feria, TX.
