

Hector was a man of faith and served in the U. S. Army First Cavalry division and was an infantryman. He lived in several places throughout his lifetime spending most of his years in either Lancaster, Pennsylvania or his hometown of La Feria, Texas where he entered into eternal rest. Hector spent decades as a professional drywall installer helping to build numerous communities in Pennsylvania. In Texas, Hector worked for the family business, Septic Services by R & R. He had an incredible work ethic that he passed onto his children.
Hector was known for his captivating smile with a funny story to tell. He readily made friends from all walks of life lending an ear or a hand. Hector is most notably known for being a phenomenal dancer and attending local bailes on a regular basis. In his later years, he volunteered his time with various Veterans associations.
Hector is survived by his sons Gabriel Flores (Shaniece) and Eric Peralez; his daughters Veronica Taguilas and Victoria Taguilas; his siblings Israel Taguilas (Debbie), Rene Taguilas (Ana), Rosalinda Taguilas, Yolanda Young and Nilda Taguilas; his grandchildren Deseray, Gabriel Jr., Javier and Sage. He also leaves behind one great-grandchild and a host of other family and dear friends.
Hector was preceded in death by his father Israel C. Taguilas and his mother Margarita F. Taguilas.
Hector will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation for Hector will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A full honors service will be held at 5:30 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559. An inurnment service will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery, 2520 Inspiration Rd, Mission, TX 78572.
