Jose Rios Jr., age 50, of Harlingen, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 22, 2025. He was born on January 5, 1975, in Brownsville, Texas, to Jose Rios and Maria Josefa Badillo Rios.
A proud 1993 graduate of Santa Rosa High School, Jose went on to serve his country as a postman in the United States Navy. After his military service, he continued his dedication to public service by working for the IRS, where he was known for his keen problem-solving skills and strong work ethic.
On June 13, 1997, Joe married the love of his life, Jeobana E. Vasquez, in Santa Rosa. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around love, laughter, and family.
Joe truly lived life to the fullest. He found joy in the simple things—fishing, coaching, BBQing for family and friends, singing along to Disney movies, and reading anything he could get his hands on. He stayed curious and informed, always seeking to learn more. He cherished time spent with his loved ones, especially bonding with his nieces, nephews, and godchildren, who held a special place in his heart.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jeobana Rios; his children, Dante Amadeus Rios, Bella Damaris Rios, and Diego Gael Rios; his parents, Jose and Maria J. Rios; and his siblings: Juan J. Rios (Lisa), Carlos Rios (Anabel), Maria Rios (Joel), Ruben Rios (Yolanda), Rafael Rios, and Pedro Rios (Monica). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his sister, Norma Moore and grandma's Maria Cristina Rios and Trinidad Mendez.
