On August 2, 1986, he married Carol Sue Wilson of Kansas City, Kansas at Mission Creek Baptist Church in Edwardsville.
On December 31, 2022, he accepted the Lord's invitation to go home. He spent the last months of his life in the love and care of his nephew's family, Patrick and Sharla Sosa with Calidad Hospice Services.
Magdaleno is survived by his wife, Carol Sosa, brothers Gilbert and Jose, sisters Rebecca, Elva, Ismona, Lordes, Emilia, Tony and many nieces and nephews.
He worked as a farmhand, in the oil field, on the railroad, Price Brother's Pipe Co, and driving semi-trucks.
He enjoyed farming, growing, vegetables, fishing, finding and working on old cars and trucks, carpentry, restoring old houses in Edwardsville and Harlingen, hunting deer, and singing many hymns including his favorite one "How great thou art". He had a talent for talking to people. If he would go into a room of strangers for a short period of time, he will come out knowing all about them.
After moving back to Texas with his wife, Carol, they were invited to attend First Baptist Church of Combes by Pastor Bob Cole. That's when Mike accepted the Lord and was baptised by Pastor Bob Cole.
Family requests in lieu of flowers/plants, a donation to the Diabetes Foundation will make a fine tribute to Mike.
Many thanks to Pastor Steve Weist and his wife, Nancy, and church members of First Baptist church of Combes, TX for their prayers during Mike's illness.
A visitation for Magdaleno will be held Friday, January 6, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559. Following the visitation will be a prayer service at 4:00 PM.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.heavenlygracergv.com for the Sosa family.
