Maria Elana Patterson

Maria was born to Manuel and Anita Gonzalez September 12,1952 in Texas and grew up surrounded by her large family. She had eight siblings; Lydia, Reynaldo, Rene, Rolando, Carlos, Analicia, Luis and Leticia.

Maria was a kind and caring woman, a true friend who was alway there with a willing helping hand. She was a talented seamstress who started her own drapery business at the age of 26. She met the love of her life, Dennis Patterson, in the summer of 1979, a few months later they were married in the Spring of 1980. The two were each other’s life long companions and friends. They were blessed with 7 children. Her greatest joy were her 7 grandchildren. Maria Elena will be remembered for her love of baking and the joy of gardening. May she be remembered for her generosity and kind heart as she rests in peace with our Lord and Savior.

Maria Elena is survived by her husband Dennis Patterson and 4 children: Lydia Chavarria, Eddie Oviedo, Marlaina Patterson, and Delia & Rainier Gonzalez. Three step-children Derrick, Daren and Marla Patterson.

There will be a service for those who would like to celebrate Maria’s life on the 18th of December at 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559.
