Maria Magdalena Mendez Vela, age 82, of Weslaco, Texas passed away on Wednesday January 30, 2019. Maria was born April 25, 1936 in Reynosa, Tamaulipas Mexico to Gregoria Guajardo and Fortino Mendez.

Maria loved taking care of her plants and loved listening to music. Although her favorite thing to do is play bingo, and spend time with her family.

Maria is survived by; 2 daughters Sylvia Placencia, and Mary Munguia; 2 sons Rolando Mendez, and Jose Guadalupe Salazar; sister Dora Mendez, and 20 grand children.

Maria was preceded in death by; daughter Gracie Mendez; mother Gregoria Guajardo and father Fortino Mendez; 3 sisters Bernaldina Velasquez, Julia Alvarado, and Paula Lopez; 2 brothers Juan Mendez and Noe Mendez.
