She was a beloved wife to Carlos O. Rodriguez for 30 years before his passing. Martina is survived by her 8 children: Maria Bradford, Carlos Rodriguez, Valentin Rodriguez, Nereyda Rodriguez, Becky Gomez, Cruz Rodriguez, Patricia Candido and Rosa Rodriguez. She was a loving grandmother to 22 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
For 88 years of her beautiful life, family, friends and neighbors knew her to be such a strong and independent woman. She enjoyed gardening and loved the beauty of her plants. She also enjoyed making clothes for her grandchildren as a very well known seamstress. But the one thing she loved the most, was taking care of other people. Whether it be by making one of her tasteful dishes, putting together a beautiful outfit, or making her favorite herbal tea when someone was sick, Martina always wanted to make sure that everyone around her was taken care of because she had the most loving heart. She will always be remembered as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
A viewing will be held Thursday, March 20th from 3 to 9 PM, with a rosary at 7 PM. Chapel services will be held Friday, March 21st at 10 AM followed by a burial service at Restlawn Memorial Park at 11 AM.
