

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Mary Martinez Munoz, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who peacefully left us on February 12, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on October 1, 1940, Mary was a faithful, spiritual woman whose presence in this world will be deeply missed.
Mary was a woman of unwavering faith, whose spiritual devotion guided her throughout her life. She found strength in her prayers, and her love for her family was evident in everything she did. As a mother, grandmother, and matriarch, Mary’s life was a testament to her care and dedication. She cherished her time with her children and grandchildren, always offering them loving advice, words of wisdom, and prayers from the heart. Her influence and guidance will continue to echo in the lives of her loved ones for generations.
Known for her vibrant personality, Mary was a social soul who never met a stranger. Her home was always open to family and friends, and she loved gathering with them to share laughter, stories from her youth, and fond memories. With a smile that could light up any room, Mary made everyone feel welcome, loved, and valued.
Mary was a truly independent woman, one who could be counted on in times of need. She was dependable, always there to lend a helping hand or offer a kind word. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family as she helped raise her siblings and other family members with love and care. Mary was also an excellent caregiver, providing support for those she loved with a heart full of compassion.
For 66 years, Mary was a dedicated beautician and salon owner. Her passion for the art of beauty and care touched countless lives, as she created lasting relationships with her clients and made them feel their very best. Her skill, dedication, and eye for beauty were unmatched, and she continued to bring joy to others through her craft for decades.
Mary’s love for life was evident in her enjoyment of gambling, a pastime that brought her joy and excitement, especially when shared with those close to her. She approached every moment with a spirit of fun and adventure, reminding us all to embrace the simple pleasures in life.
Mary leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and an unwavering commitment to her family. Her smile, her laughter, and her warmth will be forever remembered by those who knew her. She is survived by her children Cynthia Aguirre (Refugio Aguirre III) and Robert Munoz Jr. (Perla Munoz), her grandchildren Aleyda Denise Garza (Jose Garza), Carlos Refugio Aguirre, Miah Jolanda Munoz, and Maya Juliana Munoz, her great-grandchild Thalia Marie Garza, and her siblings Roberto R. Martinez, Consuelo Huerta, Desiderio Martinez Jr., and Rolando Martinez. She joins her husband Roberto Munoz Sr., her parents Desiderio and Consuelo Martinez, and her siblings Juan R. Martinez and Homero Martinez in eternal peace.
A visitation for Mary will occur on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 10:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM, where family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate the incredible life of Mary Martinez Munoz. A church mass will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with a burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
