Ramon G Torrez, 94, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018 after a lengthy illness. He was a long time resident of La Féria. He was born May 7, 1924 to Concepcion Torrez and Agustina Torrez. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and 4 brothers. Ramon married Oralia M Mercado on July 20, 1947 and they were blessed with two daughters Gloria (Noe) Diaz and Maria Elena (Arturo) Castillo. They have six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was a Veteran of World War II and a survivor of the Normandy Campaign. He was a farmer and welder for Tri/Pak for many years.
