Roxie is survived by her son in law, Julius Schulke, grandson, Justin Schulke, granddaughter, Bridget Schulke, and great granddaughter, Hailey Street. She is also survived by her nieces Sandy McAfee and Sharon Ketcham, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 32 years, David L. George; daughter, Brenda Schulke; brother, C.W. Wheaton; six sisters, Maggie, Dena, Sarah, Mattie Mae, Johnnie, and Edna (Totsy).
In her younger years, Roxie first worked as an operator for the telephone company in Harlingen, then later at Flynn Investments as a supervisor. After that, she worked as a bookkeeper and secretary for Transportation Agent, David and her family business. In her later years, Roxie enjoyed spending time with her family and going on her daily walks.
