Sabina De La Garza (widow of Sgt. Alfredo delaGarza), age 86, of San Benito, Texas passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022. Sabina was born December 30, 1935 to Maria De Los Angeles Cabrera and Francisco Loredo.
Sabina was a nutritional specialist for Texas A&M Department of Agriculture for 30 years. But most importantly dedicated 50 years of her life to be a faithful servant of God. She graciously donated her time to 7 different churches.
Sabina is survived by her children Norah delaGarza and Joe delaGarza; her granddaughters Angelica Sandoval, Cecilia Williams, and Isabella Victoria Sandoval; her great grandsons Luis Sandoval III, Luciano Alfredo Sandoval, Teo Thomas Sandoval, and her great granddaughters Alexandria Liedecke and Miranda Liedecke.
Sabina was preceded in death by her mother Maria De Los Angeles Cabrera, her father Francisco Loredo, and her husband, Sgt. Alfredo delaGarza.
A visitation for Sabina will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM and a Rosary at 7:00 PM at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home. A funeral mass will occur Friday, July 8, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Santa Rosa, Texas with burial to follow at 11:00 AM at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park.
