He was born on March 7, 1936 to the late Charles and Ruby Weakly in Taylorsville, Kentucky.
Arthur was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church. He retired from Anchorage Police Department as the Chief of Police. He started working for the city of Anchorage at the age of 15 before becoming a patrolman with Anchorage Police Department and worked his way up the ladder. Arthur was proud to take care of the lawn, starting his business with his wife, Anne, A & A Lawn Service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Elizabeth Satterly Weakly and brothers, Kenneth and Ozark Weakly.
Left to cherish the memory of Arthur are his daughters, Carrie Fletcher (Terry) and Deborah Weakly; grandchildren, Christopher Fletcher (Ashley) and Abbigail Johnson (Zack); great-grandchildren, Cailyn Ingram, Zoie Johnson, Raylan Fletcher, and Ezra Johnson; siblings, CD Weakly and Mary Winbun (Bill); sister-in-law, Geneva Weakly; close friends, Gordon and Fleur Bryan; extended family and friends.
A celebration of Arthur's life will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 1pm at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 W Jefferson St, LaGrange with burial to follow in Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 4-8pm and Tuesday morning from 11am until the start of the service at the funeral home.
