Candis Dawn (Smith) Hahn, age 71, passed after many years struggle with dementia, a life robbing disease. She was born July 5, 1954, the daughter of Kenneth and Addie Mae Smith and raised in Southern Indiana. There she enjoyed early morning fishing trips with her Grandfather. Fishing was a passion she never outgrew.
After graduating Floyd Central High School, Candi moved to Louisville Ky, where she became a lifelong Administration Assistant and Office Manager for local construction equipment companies.
When retiring, she enjoyed pampering her puppies, Cydnee and Molly, fishing and UK basketball.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father; Brothers, Steven and Kendall Smith; and great great niece Caraline.
Candi is loved by her husband, Jerry; Stepdaughter, Shelly Carpenter (Nic); four Step Grandchildren, Great Grandson, 8 Nieces and Nephews, 19 great Nieces and Nephews, 12 great greats, Sister-in-Law, Carol Smith; and a tremendous amount of friends.
A special thanks to Richwood Nursing and Rehab staff and caregivers for tireless care and compassion.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
