He was a lifelong resident of Crestwood, KY. Charlie was a union brick mason for 33 years. He was excellent craftsman of his trade with accomplishments like the mason work done on the Humana Building. He loved going to his Rough River camp where he always welcomed anyone with a listening ear.
Dad had a huge heart and great smile! Dad gave so generously of his love.
Charlie was preceded in death by his loving wife Betty (Dempley) and his beloved daughter Charlotte (Roby).
He is survived by his son Charles Jr. (Tammy) and daughter Debra Burgan. He also leaves behind three grandsons (Jimmy, Trey and Luke) and two granddaughters (Amy and Amanda). He had three great grandsons and two great granddaughters. Charlie cherished his two brothers (David and Paul Jr.) three loving sisters ( Flo, Sue and Pam). Dad loved (Chuck Roby and J.T. Burgan) like sons.
We the family will be forever grateful for the love, time and service he so freely gave to all!
Funeral service will be provided by Arch L. Heady, 311 W. Jefferson St. Lagrange, KY 40031. The visitation will be April 3, 2017 from 4 – 8 p.m., funeral service will be April 4, 2017 @ 12:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow @ Louisville Memorial Gardens East 11601 Ballardsville Rd. Lou., KY 40241.
