Dana Marie (Casper) Jeffries

Dana Marie (Casper) Jeffries was born July 1, 1963 to R. Burke and Margy Casper and passed away in her home on January 18, 2026. Dana lived with her family in LaGrange, Kentucky for most of her life and was a graduate of Oldham County High School, Class of 1982.

In her earlier years, Dana was full of energy; laughter; and strong, direct and unapologetic opinions.

Dana worked in various fields throughout her lifetime. She was a hairdresser; she tested electric line equipment; supported people with developmental disabilities; she worked on the family farm, and perhaps her most proud accomplishment was being a certified nursing assistant (CNA) until an unfortunate fall prevented her from being able to work anymore.

She loved her animals; they were constant companions and sources of comfort for her— all animals had a place in her heart, but she had a unique relationship with her horses and her dogs!

Dana loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, the open road, and the feeling of wind flowing through her long, thick, brown hair that extended well beyond her waist.

Music was always a big part of who Dana was— She enjoyed rock and roll, country, R&B, and even hip-hop. Aerosmith and Prince just happened to her longtime favorites.

She was a devoted Kentucky men’s basketball and Pittsburgh Steeler fan! Games often turned into passionate family debate, especially during the Battle of the Bluegrass.

In her later years, Dana’s health became a challenge as she faced several, consecutive medical challenges, including surviving breast cancer.

Dana is preceded in death by her father, R. Burke Casper, and is survived by her mother, Margy Casper; two children, Josey Hahn (Seth) and Tyler Anderson; and two grandchildren.

Dana leaves behind strong and lasting memories and will be remembered for her honesty, the love she showed, and the life she lived on her own terms.

A memorial visitation celebrating Dana’s life will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home (701 W. Jefferson St., LaGrange, KY 40031).
