He was born on September 23, 1939 to the late Henry Jackson and Roberta Wilson in Bradfordsville, KY.
David was a loving husband of 60 years, inspirational father of six, and cherished and honored PaPaw of 17 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren on the way.
He was a blacksmith for 50 years; developing 5 successful blacksmiths, published author of the book "Genuine Blacksmith", and showcased in the Derby Museum. David enjoyed painting, was an avid gardener, anything to do with being outside and jokingly called the "Mayor of the Buckner YMCA"; where he instructed water aerobics at the young age 73.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother; Billy Wilson.
Left to cherish the memory of David are his wife; Norma WIlson, children; David Wilson Jr. (Lynn), Tracy Jean Simmons (Danny), Tammy Jo Pottinger, Terry Lynn Collins (Charles), Daniel Cleo Wilson (Holly), and Tina Carol Brazell (Frankie), and sister; Betty Carol Courtwright (Allen).
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, August 6, 2018 at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home at Noon with visitation starting at 10am until the start of the service. A reception will follow services at LaGrange Christian Church before the burial at Old Liberty Cemetery in Bradfordsville, KY at 4:30pm.
