Hugh Donald Allen

A devoted husband, father, brother and friend, Don was a devout Christian and was a member of Northeast Christian Church. He grew up in Greenville, Kentucky as the son of a United Methodist Church minister. Don attended Western Kentucky University and was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. In his 20's he met and married the love of his life, Julia Crick Allen. He retired from Becton-Dickinson in 2011 after a long and successful career in medical sales. Throughout his life, he enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, visiting friends, and cheering on the University of Louisville Cardinals.

Don is preceded in death by his father, Hugh Grayson Allen and his mother, Lenna Oldham Allen, and is survived by his wife: Julia Crick Allen; children: Heather Allen Follensbee and Jacob Grayson Allen; sister: Emily Allen Sherrod and her husband Donald; and his mother-in-law: Katie Crick.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Thursday, October 23, and a funeral service will be conducted at 1 PM on Friday, October 24 at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home in LaGrange, Kentucky.
