He was a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew and cousin.
He was a graduate of Buckner High School in Oldham County and ROTC program. Ian worked with FEMA to help restore power to those affected by hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico and The Virgin Islands. He also served in the Navy.
Ian had a inquisitive mind, a loving spirit and was quick to give a helping hand and ear to those around him. He will be missed by all who knew him.
His family includes his father, Adam and Jessi Bockting; mother, Abby Freihaut; grandparents, Steve and Karen Bockting, Glenn and Peggy Metzger, Tom and Shannon Freihaut and Cindy and Richard Berger; brothers Owen and Nathan Bockting; several uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of life will be conducted at 4 PM on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral home in LaGrange, KY with visitation from 1-4 proceeding the service time on Sunday.
